My teeth are constantly getting infected, and I have had root canals and crowns on most of my teeth. I come from a country where there is no fluoridation in the tap water, and my mother had terrible teeth, too, so I am not surprised. When I went to the dentist, he told me that the cause of my problems is that I have bruxism. I have never heard of this before in my life, and when he explained to me what it was, I thought it a little bit strange. He also asked me if I get headaches and neck aches, and I told him yes, I am an adult. This is a natural part of life, everyone has back and neck pain above forty! I would like a second opinion, could you please help me out with this?

My wisdom teeth are growing in sideways, and are crushing my molars. My first molar has already broken in half, and I needed to get a crown and a root canal to fix it, and I have an appointment to get the wisdom tooth removed. My question is; are there going to be any negative repercussions involved in getting them removed? I know that when a tooth falls out the other teeth are likely to start falling out too, so I don’t know what to do, does this mean that my molar is going to start falling out? What function do wisdom teeth serve?

I was at your clinic yesterday for a filling. An old amalgam filling was removed and a small cavity was filled, despite the fact that I felt no pain. I was told that the cavity was not deep at all, but but it still hurts when cold touches it, or when I bite down too hard. What can be done if my tooth still hurts? Is it normal? Loose teeth; this almost always indicates chronic periodontitis, and one of the symptoms is long spells of being completely symptom free, and sometimes having acute problems, during these acute phases pain can be expected but is not necessarily a symptom, and there may be discharge from next to the tooth as well.
