Giacomo Puccini’s vivid and atmospheric tragedy of 1899 follows the misfortunes of Butterfly, a teenaged Japanese geisha who forsakes family and religion to marry an American naval officer in late 19th-century Nagasaki.

The performance will be preceded by a pre- show talk with International Soprano MARY PLAZAS (at 6.15 Harold Pinter room)
