Antonio Maria Costa, served as Under-Secretary-General at the OECD (Paris), Director-General for Economics and Finance at the EU Commission (Brussels) and Secretary-General of the EBRD (London). In 2002 Kofi Annan appointed him Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime for an unprecedented 2-term mandate.
Mark Malloch-Brown was Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, as well as Administrator of UNDP. He served in the British Cabinet and Foreign Office. In the House of Lords is deeply involved in international affairs. He is currently Chairman of Smartmatic, the leading elections technology company.
David Hannay, a British diplomat, was Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the European Union from 1985 to 1990. In the following quinquennium he served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York. At the House of Lords he served till recently as Chairman of the Sub-Committee of the Select Committee on the European Union.
Neil McKeganey, a sociologist, has researched extensively on drugs misuse, the link between drugs and crime, the effectiveness of drug enforcement activities, and the impact of drugs policy. A frequent commentator on drug related issues in the media, Prof. McKeganey has written for a range of UK newspapers.
