CULTURAL EVENT - Art is always modern

Cultural event

One involves collectors acquiring art works by contemporary artists often those they know, they are acquainted with. Collector’s choices are based on their own tastes, sometimes with the help of trusted critics.

The other involves collectors more drawn to antique art. They tend to acquire artefact and art works through specialized auction houses or antique dealers, helped by recommendations from accredited and established experts.

These are two different worlds which reflect different approaches and way of thinking.

What is it like today?

A journey through collecting,  from Cardinal Scipione Borghese (beginning of seventeen century) to Charles Saatchi and François Pinault.
