“La nostra vita” is a 2010 French-Italian film directed by Daniele Luchetti. Claudio is a young mason who has problems with his family. He tries to do anything to support their children with school and study, but it seems to him almost impossible.

This Conference aims to debate the themes of Claudio Pavone’s landmark study on the Italian Resistance, on occasion of the publication of the English translation (Verso 2013). Furthermore, it attempts to discuss new approaches to the study of the Italian Resistance, with a special focus on the relationship between partisans and the environment in which they operated (the subject of an AHRC project led by David Atkinson).
